Wayne Gerard
Biography
Wayne Gerard is a serial tech founder-turned-investor who now guides ESGagent.ai’s board while spearheading enterprise sales and strategic partnerships. His mandate is to translate the startup’s AI-driven safety and sustainability platform into global, industrial-scale impact.
Wayne co-founded engineering-data SaaS pioneer RedEye, scaled it across infrastructure, mining and utilities clients in 10 countries, and ultimately led its sale to US industrial-tech leader Fortive in December 2023.

Appointed Queensland Chief Entrepreneur (2021-22), Wayne has been one of Australia’s most visible champions of innovation and venture investment, after earlier being named Queensland Entrepreneur of the Year (2015). Today he backs climate- and industry-tech scale-ups through his firm Partner Ventures, and serves on multiple public and private boards.
Personal Experience
Before startups, Wayne spent a decade as an Australian Army communications officer—helping build the service’s first drone—then held engineering and program-management roles at Boeing.
